This review is for Wellard Charcoal Chicken, Wellard WA

verified email - 07 Jun 2016

A bit on the average side. we have tried both the peri peri (for which there is a surcharge) and the standard charcoal chicken and have been content enough both times but never blown away.

I was hoping for a more charcoal taste from the original chicken- it tasted almost exactly like the roast chicken you get in the supermarket. The peri peri was tasty but very hot (and cost $2 more), so your two options are sort of bland chicken or very spicy chicken. It would be nice if there was an in between option.

The chips are pretty pricey and they won't budge with the meals (I wanted to upgrade my chips and they wouldn't do it, they told me I had to buy an additional small chips for another $5 or so - totally unheard of anywhere else).

I have been here twice now and I'm not inclined to run back in a hurry but would try it again in a year or so.

I would really like to see them offer chip and salad upgrades with the meals (that aspect was pretty ridiculous). You would think they would want to encourage upgrades for extra profits. I would have been happy to put in an extra $2 for a few more chips at minimal cost to them. Overall you would be hard pressed to get much food for less than $15.00 per person. I hope they read this because I think there are many small things they could do a better

This place is basically cheap quick Asian dishes (primarily noodle) that they make instantaneously in 5 mins (everything is precooked they just chuck it all together in a wok - you know the type). The food is about what you would expect (certainly not bad) but what you can't go past is the value. Two dishes for two peoples is way to much food. You could get away with ordering one dish between two and maybe if you are really hungry grab an entree or some prawn crackers ($2 per bag!).

For the sheer amount of food the price is very good. It was pretty oily, the meat was minimal but it was oh so tasty. For the $12.00 per dish price tag (some are even a bit less) we were pretty happy. Don't expect a 5 star Chinese dish packed with a truckload of meat and veggies but do expect some ultra tasty noodles for a great price and friendly service.

The pad Thai was a little sweet for my taste but my partners satay was yummo! We will be back over and over again i"m sure

Was very keen to try this place out...not a fan. I felt we were treated as inferior customers due to having a voucher and the food was very sub standard (tasteless sliders). The food and service overall was poor. Also the popcorn was served in a toy truck, Nice idea but how hygienic is that? Would not go back.

This review is for Gropers Fish & Chips, Broadwater WA

Yum! Decent quality fish and chips for a very good price. It was a bit like stepping back 20 years!! We got fish and chips for one with a crab stick and extra chips for $13.20 and that was plenty for two!! They also offer grilled fish and lots of different options including all the seafood you would expect, chiko rolls, corn jacks and loads more BUT no salad which was fine by me, but might not suit everyone. As I said it was very much like getting the old F & Cs in the 90s when people were not so health conscious.

Phone your order ahead if you are in the hurry as they are very busy (and I can see why at that price) but we were on holiday and happy to wait the 15 mins or so. Again.. YUM!!

This review is for The Deck Marina Bar And Restaurant, Busselton WA

verified email - 24 Nov 2015

Believe it or not we have had some bad food in the south-west. So many restaurants are overpriced and underwhelming due to high tourism. This was the opposite! The outside facade looks quite unappealing but once you are bought into the main restaurant it feels very classy and you quickly realise looks can be deceiving,.

We ordered garlic bread, a scotch fillet steak each and drinks. The garlic bread was 4 small pieces for almost $10.00 but it was possibly the best garlic bread I have ever had and the steak was close to perfection. The service was amazing too- we had an early dinner so that probably helped and the view was just beautiful. Right on the water and so pretty. Also important to note they are in the entertainment book so you can have an awesome cheap meal with the voucher.

We will be back voucher or not. Without the voucher it's on the pricey but no more than any other waterfront restaurant and it's worth it for such a pleasant all round experience. Definitely going back!!!

This review is for The Sebel Busselton, Busselton WA

Wow! This hotel was great. This is the third hotel we have stayed in in that area in a three year period all in the same price range and The Sebel blew the others out of the water.

Rooms are very large, modern and clean and all rooms (I believe) include a two person spa and very large kitchenette that includes a microwave and kitchen sink. Very very comfy rooms and quiet (even though we were facing the busy road). There was very little to fault at all. Important to note there is no Wifi or Foxtel as is becoming the norm in many hotels but I was happy to forgo these things for the extreme comfort of the room. There is also no attached restaurant and nowhere to get breakfast so you will need to drive somewhere or cook in your room but they provide a fridge and toaster so this was the least of my worries.

Love it. We will be back!!!

This review is for chophouse, Perth WA

The best steak in Perth and probably the best steak I've had. Chophouse specialize in big chunks of meat and they cook mostly on the bone. Although there are salads available it's all about the meat. They also do amazing american style sides. The food is to die for and the service is great but do be prepared it will be $80+ per person for a reasonable feed. You buy everything separately including all sides and some sauces but it's worth it for a treat. We are going back soon! It's busy. book ahead!!!

This review is for Perth Mobile Spray Tans, Osborne Park WA

I had been holding out on having a spray tan for a number of years as I was apprehensive about whether it would look natural. I finally took the plunge when I heard about this new mobile business. Not only do they come to you, the service is professional, fast, easy and very well priced. I am extremely happy with the results and will definitely use them again. The best thing is you get salon results without leaving home. Yay!

Approximate cost: $35.00 But look for specials!!!!

Beautiful. Highly recommended for a girls afternoon. The facility itself is gorgeous, the staff are beautiful and the atmosphere IS relaxation. The massage itself was beautiful and they served us champagne beforehand which was a lovely touch. Would come again!

I had my bunny desexed here at the recommendation of the breeder and they did a great job! Everything healed nicely and bunny seemed happy enough. I have been taking her here for her regular appointments thereafter however I have been a bit unimpressed of late in the way she has been treated. i felt last time she was man handled a bit much and she came home very stressed. Having said that that they know rabbits and by comparison they are very cheap compared to other vets.
