Never again. I have been using Welcome Kennels for the past 12 years with all our dogs. For the past 12 months, something has changed, I could never put my finger on it. There is a new lady on staff, who is very abrupt with other staff and customers. I have spoken to friends that also used Welcome Kennels, and they had also felt something has changed.
Dropped our two Spoodles off for two weeks. Picked them up and as soon as we got home I know one of my dogs was not well. She could not stop snezing. Took her straight to the vet $320 later..... She got an injection and medication. They said she has a fungal infection or bacterial infection. The thing that makes me so angry, I wasn't told she was sick. If they didn't notice, means they speck no time with her!
The vet also noticed she couldn't walk properly.... We looked closely at at front leg, it was so matted and was pulling all her skin from her leg and under belly. We clipped it back and it was all scabby!
We also supply all the dry dog food and frozen cooked veggies that they need to have daily for there anal gland issues, if they have there daily veggies, there anal glands are ok. Both dogs need to have there anal glands at the vet. I could smell them the minute I picked them up.
When I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years, I expect my dogs to be looked after and cared for.
Never again will I take my dogs there. Lift your game and have staff on that love there job

I often buy special birthday cakes from this shop and am always happy, so I decided I would organise my engagement cake to be made. Can't believe I met the owner... She does the quotes herself, she was really helpful and per passion showed. From the owner, the cafe staff and also the office staff that I had delt with all were extremly helpful. The engagement cake was beautiful and very one loved it. They will be making my wedding cake for sure.

The food is beautiful every time we have been either eat in or take away. Bit disappointed with the limited alcohol selection, only basics. The atmosphere isnt the best - but for a quick good meal I would highly recommened this place.

My beautiful baby (Dog aged 8) had a cruciate ligament in his back leg. He had to have surgery. One vet want to charge me more the 2 thirds more than what Lort Smith quoted!! The day that I had to drop by beloved baby off for surgery the lady who checked him in was wonderful, as I was crying because I hate leaving him. The surgeon who was doing the surgery called me before he did the surgery to confirm everything and then rang again after the surgery to let me know all fix and operation went really well. When we went to pick him up the man who checked him out was also extremely helpful and explained his rehabilitation and went through all his medication. The approximate price quote was spot on – no nasty surprises with the cost. 10 days later we had to take him back to get his stickers out, I was really surprised that a surgeon took the appointment and look over him.
I cant speak highly enough of all the staff that we have been dealing with, everyone has been compassionate, caring & helpful.

Picked my 2 small fluff ball dogs up after 3.5 weeks. Both dogs looked great and hadn't lost any weight and looked healthy. Another kennel that they onced stayed at they lost weight and were both sick upon picking them up. Not at this place. Welcome Kennels were very helpful as both my dogs are in side dogs and I was concerned about them being cold. We booked them into an inside & outside run with heating. It is nice to know I can go away and they will be very well looked after. These are my babies!

Best ever Lasagna I have tasted. Restaurant quality at takeaway prices. There other pasta dishes are also to die for. Excellent quanlity, quality you wouldn't nornally expect for a takeaway outlet.

Fantastic menu, amazing hamburgers, excellent fish. Great staff and excellent service. Does get busy, but well worth the wait. The food is fantastic. We drive 15 mins and pass 5 different fish & chip shops, but keep going back to this place.

Really nice food and amazing cakes. Nice atmosphere. Service was outstanding. At times can be a bit noisy. Good food selection for dinner. Excellent coffee.

Amazing experience. They care about animals and are less concerned about money. Went here for a second opion and this visit saved me spending $1700 on my dog, plus putting him through painful surgery

Took my dog as he had a limp. Was given antibiotics and told to come back in a week is he is still limping. Took my dog back. The doctor didn't even look at him walk, did a quick feel of the legs and took him out the back to a specialist. Specialist didn't even come and talk to us. Was told he had a cruciate ligament and he would need surgery to the cost of $1700. Took to Lort Smith who watched him walk, put him on the side and did the correct test for seeing if dogs have cruciate ligament. Was told, there is no way that is the problem. After a week later he is back to normal. Very disappointed. Would have put my dog through all that for nothing.. Plus pay out $1700 for nothing.
