I thought this salon Makardi has a very high standard of client service and professionalism The staff are friendly and understanding and make you feel welcome The prices and treatments are reasonable and I have no hesitation in recommending this salon to others Thanks What a great find !

John is the 'other man' in my life. I have been seeing him for 15 years and every appointment I leave feeling amazing. And ohn listens - prior to finding John, I had many occasions when I left the hairdressers unhappy and feeling like the stylist didn't listen to what I wanted, or know how to deliver it. John's skills, and that of his team, are of a really high standard and whenever I am in the salon, there is such a lovely vibe. Without hesitation I would recommend this salon - I drive an hour across the city for my appointments!

Wow! What a hairdresser John is! I am taken away by how amazing he is. Best ever cut and colour and also very friendly service . Will return forvevr. Very happy with everything.

From a welcoming cup of tea on arrival to a classic movie while getting your head gently massaged, Makardi Salon Moonee Ponds has customer care as a key focus. As a regular client I know my hair will be coloured and cut expertly and I'll leave with a blow wave that makes me feel one million dollars! I highly recommend John and the team!

My whole family are customers at Makardi which is testament to the scope of services offered. From the latest teen cuts, to formal hair ups and color techniques. We have been happy customers since the salon opened. The head massages are the best !! Staff are extremely skilled and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

John and his team at Makardi are amazing. I always feel so welcome each time I visit. I took a chance on Makardi over two years ago and I've never looked back. Every time I get my hair cut I walk out feeling confident. Their service is so professional and personal; the team have found a prefect balance. I have no hesitation in recommending Makardi to anyone who is looking for a team of caring individuals to make sure their hair is looking on point.

John and the gang at Makardi are awesome. Not only are they very passionate and knowledgable about what they do, they are friendly and sociable as well. John in particular would, by far, have to be one of the best hairdressers I have ever been to (and I have been to a gaziliion). So, if you are after a fabulous hair cut and/or colour, go and see John and his crew. You will not regret it :)

I have been going to this salon since it opened. I am always greeted when I walk in the door, they take my coat and ask if I want a drink straight away. I trust the hair dressers so much that every time I go in, I say do anything they want and they always choose something that suits me and I am always happy. I will never go to another salon again.

I needed a hair cut desperately and my normal salon was booked out. I needed to take a punt on a totally new but open for customers now salon. Makardi booked me in and I had exception service with great interest and advice for my hair. A really cool cut wash and blowdry and am receiving compliments on my hair today at work, they are now my new hairdressing salon.

Wonderful haircut. I went in not really sure what I was after, other than a change, and came out with one of my best haircuts ever. Kim listened to my needs - I'm strictly a wash and wear type - and gave me a great haircut that needs no styling or fuss but looks fabulous. Three weeks on I'm still thrilled. Friendly service and a good price, I was impressed and will be back.

Always happy and pleased with the service at Makardi Salon, I work close by and generally plan my appointments after hours which is very accommodating to my busy schedule. I'm greeted with my glass of wine to unwind after the busy day, and leave my hair in my stylists capable hands. I am forever receiving compliments on my colour and have even had a few people stop me on street to say “I love your colour, where do you get your done done?!” being a blonde you need the right tone - and I am pleased to say that my colour has always been faultless. On special occasions I will also visit the salon for a blow wave – Amazing, each and every time, volume volume volume! The environment of the salon is comfortable and relaxing…. did I mention the massage chairs while your having your hair washed?! The staff are always very friendly, helpful and very experienced and informative when it comes to hair care. I now have my mother, my family and most friends all visiting Makardi for their services, with each one thanking me for the recommendation. Keep up the fantastic work “Makardi-ettes” and I will be seeing you !

I'm not one to usually review businesses, but I had such an amazing experience at Makardi that I just had to share it! All of the staff are so friendly and genuinely interested in you, your day and what you want. They are a hilarious bunch that you can see really love what they do and take pride in their work. The service was so amazing, from the welcome, to the delicious herbal tea and the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere- the massage I got while getting my hair washed almost put me to sleep. I would pay for that massage alone! John my hairdresser listened to what I wanted and suggested (without being pushy) an absolutely to DIE FOR COLOUR that everyone is commenting on! I just can't rave enough about this great little salon that's tucked into the Monnee Ponds plaza complex. It reminded me what a special and fun experience getting pampered is really about! I recommend you definitely give it a go!

A very professional, well organized and friendly business. They are slightly more expensive then the average salon, but the extra money is worth it for the quality and service you receive. I would highly recommend them.

I have been attending this salon for many years now and I have never been disappointed with the service that I receive from all of the staff members. I have used their services for a range of occasions including my engagement party as I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The outcome was just what I imagined it to be. The friendly staff at Makardi work great with my needs whether that may be to try something new and different or just a usual routine visit to the salon. I've also purchased my hair extensions from the salon and I absolutely love them! They are applied so naturally that nobody knows they are in my hair and I had quite short hair when they were put it so it was a huge change. I also use the salon's spray tanning and waxing services and again I have never left the salon unhappy! As soon as you sit down you are offered a coffee or a tea which is complimentary and that is one service I have never received from a hair salon!I have recommended many family friends to Makardi as I know they will be as happy as I am with the final outcomes.
