We originally used Jake's removals 10 years and were very impressed with the work ethic and professionalism back then. Ten years later and THE SAME POSITIVE experience again!! A huge shoutout to Theo and Anthony who did our move, courteous, caring and above all professional at all times keeping us fully informed of the whole journey. We had a tight time-frame for moving from a 2 bedroom town house into a 3 bedroom house but Jake Removals were able to accommodate. James and Connor arrived 6pm after a full day of moving, but had a great attitude and were extremely thoughtful given that we were moving into a rental. Highly recommend the boys, who were pure professionals and took care with our baby items and fridge. Costing was reasonable considering the travel (north to south) and 4hrs of work. Thank you again for your assistance James and Connor.

Seamless move from start to finish. On time! Clear communication and professional team. Loved the way they set up with ramps to veranda so could trolley most things safely across the wood floors with care. Believe me, I have paid sometimes twice for no where near the service these guys gave. No damage. Great attitude even with a very fussy body corporate the other side that made life more complicated. Thanks Jake’s removal for a top effort.

DO NOT HIRE!!!! Absolutely terrible experience - no furniture protection used, no care taken, they put a hole in a modular couch that now requires complete reupholstery, they chipped paint off a wall (and tried to repair with completely the wrong colour), they dropped cushions in the mud but worst of all, no remorse!!! They went out of their way to make claiming insurance difficult and I’m now $3k out of pocket for repairs and they won’t even help taking the couch to the upholsterer and back which is just down the road. Not to mention that this whole saga has played out over 3 months and throughout they have been completely unhelpful throughout. Every upholsterer I spoke to for quotes were so surprised that they were trying to get away with repairing the one piece. This is not typical practice at all.

Booked and Paid deposit. On the day said they would be atleast 4 hours late, then 6. Then at 6pm called to say only one man could come and I would have to help (I’m a small lady) and would be working after curfew illegally, same price. Didn’t answer my calls, office was rude and hung up on me. Still had to chase deposit multiple times. Would not recommend.

Punctual, polite, professional. I thought the value was fantastic compared to other quotes I got. Moved a 6T truck from Fitzroy to Torquay in 4.5 hours, for about $1k. Including paying a 3rd man too. Navigated furniture up stairs without issue. Nothing broken. Would recommend.

If you have been looking around like what we did to find a reliable removals company, please don't ride your luck and avoid this company. To put it simply, the crews ghosted us and did not answer our desperate calls on the day so we were left with disassembled furnitures! This company has polarising reviews in here. I ignored the bad ones and chose this company but was left extremely disappointed.. If you don't want any potential dramas in your stressful day of moving, go elsewhere!

Very well done especially in spite of extreme heat. A couple of items scratched, though. Value for money was excellent as the piano was able to be moved successfully in the same move. There seemed to be a little tension between the two movers which made interactions a bit stilted, but otherwise quite friendly.

The Removalists are lazy. I (a young female) had to participate to get the job done and moved things at a much quicker pace. They also made me cart my own belongings because they couldn’t be bothered wrapping them up to put in the truck I paid for.

Guys are great hard workers, very pleasant, but unfortunately they lost a key which was in my big tool chest. I have all my tools it there which I cannot get access to. I have called them numerous times to find out what's happened to the key and they said they placed it on one of the hundred or so boxes I have piled in my garage. I looked high and low and nothing....a poor excuse for losing the key and not taking responsibility. I have called a number of times to speak with the manager but he ignores my frustrating situation. Would I use their services again NO THANKS not professional enough unfortunately dealing with amatures and for the price I payed I expected professionals! So move on and shop around you can find better.

Used them twice to move a set number of machines to a local location, first Team moved them in a little over 5 hours, on the return trip a different team of guys took 7 hours and moved less machines, a don't give a crap attitude Never Use them again.

I highly recommend this company. They were professional and reliable from start to finish., They arrived at the scheduled time. We moved a 4 bedroom house this week in a 10 tonne truck with two men. Rob and Kevin were great! They were friendly and had good attitude and a good sense of humour throughout the day, Jesse in admin who handled our booking was fantastic in his communication with us along the way. No hidden costs. Very reasonably priced. I shopped around. No sub contracters which is an important consideration. Don’t look any further! Thanks Jake removals... this customer is VERY happy!

I had read a few reviews and was a bit nervous of the moved. We moved a four bedroom house a few kms away. The move was booked for 2pm and I was called at 13:30 to say they had just completed the previous job and where on their way and would be at my house at 14:30 - I appreciated the proactive call and they arrived at 14:30. The move took 7.5 hours which was longer than I thought it would take, but the two guys worked tirelessly without a break and took beds apart etc. They were friendly and nothing was too much effort. Will certainly use them again. Bonus: we got a really big truck at no extra charge and no double trips

Very unhappy with this service. I was not provided any documentation or invoice on the day and was not told the amount I was being charged. I later looked in my bank statement and saw I had been overcharged 1 hour. The workers took a 30 min lunch break which I was charged for. Tried to resolve issue with owner but there was no documentation provided to prove anything so he would not refund the appropriate amount. Very disappointed.

This is the second time i have used Jake Removals. they are efficient, helpful, quick and I would recommend them to anyone. I would trust them with all future moves. They moved all of my furniture and a valuable piano into a two storey 4 bedroom house.

Very friendly people and good service, but unfortunately the drain hose of the washing machine got damaged and Jake Removals wouldn't reimburse any costs. That's a bit disappointing. So no damages are covered!

I had to change the day several times, due to tradesmen working on the place i was shifting to. They accommodated that. They took great care with my furniture, & with the walls of the buildings, turned up on time, finished in the time I had estimated, and were friendly and courteous, & charged a reasonable rate. wow.... these guys go above and beyond. I had booked Rockstar Removals. They showed up, gave me tasks to get ready for their return with a bigger truck 20 mins later. THEY NEVER SHOWED. the Jake blokes finished a job at 4pm and were at my place straight afterwards. they worked till 11pm. Our new home had no power yet. I went out to get candles as it got dark. When I returned, these amazing blokes had their phones on "torch", in their mouths so they could see to carry my children's beds upstairs. AMAZING. They even returned after their morning job the next day to take my second load (I never realised I had so much stuff). the price I have published is their hourly rate for a home with two storeys. I would go with them every time.

I recently used Jake Removals to relocate my business. With many large machines, desks and cutting tables, moving has been very difficult in the past resulting in spilt oil which makes it a nightmare to clean after. The 2 guys Alex and David that turned up were great. They had experience with moving these difficult industrial machines and it showed. Quick, efficient, friendly, I will definitely use them again! thanks again!

Would have to be the worst experience with a removalist ever, even including the time a company didn't turn up. Arrived 2 hours late, paid no attention to the labels on the boxes (particularly the Fragile labels), the truck sent was too small, the two men were ill-mannered and inexperienced, one threw cigarette butts all over the lawn. To top it all off, they tried to overcharge me, and refused to take my mattress off the truck unless I paid the extra fee they added on. An utter shambles, and a deeply unpleasant experience. Best avoided at any cost.

I had the WORST experience with "Jake Removals" today, a heads up for anyone moving - DO NOT waste your time, I would never recommend them!!Â We had booked Jake Removals for this afternoon at 2pm. I had organised for a friend to mind my son, as I was almost there to drop him off before the move, I got a call from the owner to say the men would be an hour or so late. That was understandable that some jobs run later, and he confirmed they would arrive shortly after 3:30pm. I ended up just bringing him home as they wouldnt arrive for another 2 hours.Â Me and my husband waited around from 2:30pm to ensure we were home when they arrived. It got to about 4:15pm and I had heard nothing, so I called the owner he said he would ring the men again and call me back. He then messaged me and told me they would be about 45 minutes. At this point I was a bit disappointed as there had been no courtesy call to let me know of te further delay. It got to 5pm and still there was no sign of the removalists, so again I called to find out how far away they were. At this point he was very rude and was telling me he was doing a favour by calling his employees for me. It was already 3 hours past the original booked time, and I was the one calling as I had not been paid the common decency of a courtesy call. The owner ended up yelling at me and telling me to find another removalists. I found his attitude to me as a customer absolutely disgusting, and we then had to book a new company for Sunday.

We hired Jake fast removals to move our 2bd flat, they were careful and fast. Our new place has stairs and they got everything in and nothing was damaged or marked. Will definitely be hiring these guys again when we move.
