i can pretty much agree with the other reviews in that the cakes in the window look awesome. I bought one of the big coffee cakes. Did it taste as good as it looked, well almost, it was fresh and quite nice and really well packaged for the train trip home. They do have an interesting range and would try their cakes again.

We went to The Little Snail for the 3 course lunch for $36. As i wasn't expecting much for $36 for a 3 course meal we also ordered extra starters and sides.

Wow, I was impressed. We were one of the first to arrive at midday and were seated downstairs with a great open view of the Pyrmont Bridge to Darling Harbour walkway.

Each dish was impressive, fresh and tasty, but what I couldn't believe was the service. I thought there was some sort of emergency happening as I saw waiters literally bolting up and down the stairs taking the orders back to the kitchen at lightning speed.

As soon as I gave one of the waiters an order for an extra drink he was back before I knew it putting it on the table. I have never seen food and drink served so fast and at such a high standard.

While I was here I got to try the Escargot and they were much better than I expected (fresh and not slimy).

This is one place I would love to try again.

We were in the mood for some fine dining after going to the Flight Experience (boeing 737 flight simulator located at Darling Harbour in the Harbourside Shopping Centre) as they offer their customers 15% of the total bill at Blue Fish Seafood Restaurant.

Everything was pretty much as expected. Great View. Great Service. And the food was yummy and fresh. We all ordered something different and everyone was happy. I settled on a fresh seafood basket and also order a dozen oysters. We all sampled each others food. The deep fried snapper and salt and pepper calamari are two that I would try again.

Couldn't fit desert in but couldn't fault the food. There are so many great places to eat in this prime location but would definitely love to come back and try this place again.

This review is for Lyton Chinese Restaurant, Blacktown NSW

It's been years since I've been here so we tried this place a few weeks ago for dinner on a Sunday evening. They appear to be under new management as it's no longer called Lyton Chinese Restaurant (although the phone number remains the same).

There weren't too many people dining in, and they seemed to do have a steady stream of people getting takeaway.

The service was friendly; the food was reasonable and well presented as well as being well priced. Although I intended to try the deep fried icecream for desert, I was that full that I will have to try that another time.

Overall, not bad, I would go here again.

I needed a coffee grinder in a hurry and for a good price. I found my usual online discount retailer that i used and was about to complete the transaction. Before i purchased i tried Harvey Norman online and was surprised they had the item for the same price but only charged half the price of the other online retailer for shipping.

Item arrived promptly and in perfect condition, just like from the shop. I was updated by email on when they processed the order, and when it was shipped including the day it was to be delivered.

I couldn't have asked for any better service.

I went on the Valentines Day cruise on the M/V Sydney 2000. What a perfect day. The food was great, not of big portions but quite sufficient. Drinks were included which made it great value for money. The crew and wait staff were fantastic. You could get up anytime and wander to the Stardeck and take in the amazing views.

You could tell everyone was having a great time. Even on the Stardeck you could hear the commentary about Sydney Harbour. I would love to do it again and based on this experience will be back soon for another Captain Cook cruise.

Based on a colleagues recommendation, a whole group of us recently went down there for lunch. I ordered a Chicken Biryani for $12.90. I wasn't expecting too much but was immediately impressed with the set out and the ambience of the restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly and the food I received was excellent. Fresh, flavoursome and just the right amount of spices. I can't wait to try something else from the menu. My colleague said he goes here all the time for authentic Indian food. After reading their menu, I found that they also have a restaurant in Lakemba, and both of these restaurants are Pakistani, Indian & Chinese restaurants.

I'm intending to return in the near future for dinner, and to get a table you have to book. Also Wigram Street can get kind of busy at night, so you may have to look for a parking spot, but I have no doubt it would be worth the effort.

They have been producing award-winning sausages for years proving they are the best local butcher around, maybe not the cheapest, but definitely the best

In 2009 the local paper reported they won best traditional Australian sausage and best continental Italian-style sausage at the Western Sydney Regional Sausage King awards (see link to news article http://blacktown-advocate.whereilive.com.au/news/story/meet-the-quality-meat-men/). It's worth trying their other varieties of sausages that can sell out quickly:- chicken kiev, beef, bourbon and black pepper, and garlic & chilli. I don't know if they have won awards lately, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have continued to win.

All their other meats, including chicken, beef and lamb, meatballs, minces, marinades, etc are always at a very high standard. This is one of those butchers that always looks clean and is beautifully presented

I have bought meat from supermarkets sometimes (and sometimes not too bad) and other butchers, but they do not measure up to the meat from this butcher in fact the meat from some other butchers has not been good at all.

The staff work hard and serve quickly and efficiently (they seem to have a lot of counter staff during busy periods).

I've also noticed that local clubs get their bbq meat supplies from this butcher. If you are not really happy with the butcher you are using, give this one a try.

When we went here recently after word of mouth recommendation and they had a little trouble catering for our group of 6, but the food including the churros was quite nice and very fresh. They have a great range of waffles, pancakes and churros on offer, and at first it is hard to decide what to pick. I even studied the menu on their website before I arrived but settled on the favourites platter. My mistake is that I tried to eat it on my own ….. you definitely need to share this with someone as you get full up on all the dough. I would definitely go back as it is something different and nice.

The service seemed good & very family orientated /-i.e you can tell it's a family business.

A friend who lived in the area 2-3 years ago paid us a visit recently and one of the first things he said he missed about the area was buying Chicken King ... and off he went to buy some. Their 2 piece chicken & chips special on Tuesdays is hard to beat. If we can't think of anything for dinner, Chicken King is pretty high up on the list of choices. Chicken is always fresh, and chips are ok. We usually get mini gravies to to with the meal.
