The layout of Borders Chadstone is a bit difficult to navigate the first time you visit, but its also part of the reason I love it. There are some great quiet spots to browse through the books, if you've got the kids, they love the 'stage' in the kids section, and of course they have Gloria Jeans instore with a great lookout to watch the other shoppers below!

We have our milk and bread delivered twice a week as our standing order. Easy to login and add other items if we need to. Tried the fruit and veg but had a few quality issues (which apparently now have been fixed). We bought an esky for the delivery as it sometimes arrives at 3am in the morning and we like our milk cold!

Pastries and cakes of the highest quality - this is where we go for a special treat. Right in the heart of the shopping strip so easy to find and a great place to pause and have a coffee.

great place for brunch on a sunny day - reservations recommended. Open sandwiches and the foccacias are nice and teamed with a nice green salad (or chips if you prefer!). Breakfast menu is great - the kids love their pancakes!

This coffee place is worth the walk up the Burke Rd hill! Great coffee and usually arrives at the table at the perfect (hot!) drinking temperature. Efficient service team and great product.

Belinda Janes has been in Ashburton as long as I can remember and it is one of my favourite place to buy gifts, cards and great kitchenware. It is a family run business with a great range of giftwares and collectables. They even have a cafe so I can get my coffee while perusing the latest items that have arrived in-store. If you're not nearby they have a great online store.
