This review is for On The Inlet Restaurant, Port Douglas QLD

On the Inlet was recommended to us by Apex Car Hire in Cairns. They told us that it was a nice place to go in the late afternoon/early evening to watch George the Grooper being fed along with good value bucket of prawns and a beer for $18. These guys didn't let us down... It was very busy and front row seating was at a premium - recommend getting there early. We had the bucket of prawns and some fish and chips from the bar menu. Both were very nice and great value for money. This restaurant is away from the others on the wharf at Port Douglas - but if you ask people will direct you. Well worth the vist.

Approximate cost: $18

I can not speak highly enough about this business. We received exceptional value and outstanding customer service.
Recently flew into Cairns on our way to Port Douglas. We did the math and worked out that for 2 adults and a toddler it was cheaper to hire a car and have it for the 7 days we were there than it was to do the airport transfers to Port Douglas. Apex Car hire offered the best value for money in that they also included baby seat in their hire rate. We choose the cheapest option as we were not going to be doing alot of km's whilst in Port Douglas - our package was the City/Surf deal at $30 per day with a limit of 100kms. We had our own travel insuraces so didn't need to take their insurance.
We phoned them when we arrived in Cairns and they were there to pick us up about 10 minutes later. They were very thorough in going through our car hire, offered great advice of places to dine/see in Port Douglas. There were no hidden extras. The car was more than suitable for our needs. We returned the car back to their depot and they had us back to the airport in no time. The two staff memebers that we came into contact with - only remember Nigels name were a wonderful example of what great customer service is about. Unfortunately they only have 5 destinations in Australia but with the outstanding value/service that they offer I am sure that this will grow. Whereever possible, I will hire from these guys.... FANTASTIC...

This review is for Ramada Resort Port Douglas, Port Douglas QLD

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom self contained apartment within the Ramada Complex. Accommodation was well appointed, having everything you could ask for (except laundry - however there is a coin operated one within the complex). The only complaint regarding the accommodation was that we had an issue with tiny ants - everthing had to be put away. The apartment was spacious - master bedroom well and truly oversized with decent ensuite. We dined at the restaurant one night - which was great value for money as we dined early and received an early bird discount. Restautant staff were very attentive and friendly.
Check in / check out process was efficient. Generally most staff we come into contact with were helpful - unfortunately one of the male receptionists let the team down - he just isn't cut out for hospitality. Apart from him, a very enjoyable stay and would thorougly recommend this resort.
They do have pushbikes for hire and a shuttle bus into town (there is a fee) - however I would recommend hiring a car in Cairns (see my review on Apex Car Hire - cheap and cheerful).

The pizza's are fantastic. Loaded with fresh produce. This restaurant hums in the evening - always looks very busy. I have only had takeaway (three times) and have never been disappointed. You pay for what you get. Highly recommend these pizzas...yummmm...

I have eaten here twice for brunch. Food was fantastic and service was very good. Order and pay at the counter (great for larger groups) and they deliver to your table. Reasonable size servings and very tasty.

Great choice for antipasto, baugettes, dips and pestos. Very tasty and great assortment. Export Drive is their factory outlet, however items are available at a number of retail stores. Owner operated - so great customer service.

These guys are great . We use them for all of our pool needs. Exceptional service. If all retailers were like these guys - shopping would be an amazing experience. Highly recommended. Would not go anywhere else for our pool needs.....
