Found Tom via his Fence King website. He initially provided an instant estimate over the phone but after having Jim Fencing's quote I requested an onsite quote. He attended promptly provided a detailed quote via email.

Tom Installed about 50M of colour bond fence, a colour bond gate and a slat gate with two side panels. The colour bond gate he threw in for free due the amount of fencing we ordered.

Tom and his off-sider did a great job and completed it quickly. He did a great job

Tom was professional and honest through out the process and we were really impressed.

Found McArthur Plastering in the local paper and we were expecting a no-show like our other attempts to trades to quote. We had a reasonable size job, a 3mx7m wall with three planter boxes needing grey plastering.

To our surprise, Allan was prompt and turned up on time when quoting the job and was available to start within days.

He started the job when he said he would and completed it to a high standard.

He was a one-man show and appears to specialise reno work.

Found John on the Yellow Pages after failing to get anyone from local paper and local websites to do the job on a short notice.

John came around within the hour and booked in to return on Monday of the Anzac long week.

He called on the morning to say when he'll be there and came and did the job without fuss.

Best of all, his price was more than reasonable and cheaper all the other quotes, no additional charges for doing the work on a public holiday. Professional and respectful.

Min charge was $240, covers upto 2hrs of bobcat work.

Love to support local business people who provide a great service.

Approximate cost: $240

This review is for WAFUU Cuisine And Takeaway, Leederville WA

Have walked and drove passed Wafuu a few times and wanted to test it out...

Its identified itself as a Japanese Cuisine but some of the menu items appears to be more Chinese....eg wontons

It was a Friday night and I was famish after a 12hrs day at work. The place was quiet, just four other people eating in and a few people came and went collecting take aways.

I Ordered the Gyoza and Pork Ramen (#21) and Agedashi Tofu (#39). The Ramen came within 10 minutes but the Tofu seems to take ages and only arrive as i was finishing the ramen.

To my surprise the Gyoza were wontons, the ramen were Chinese egg noodles and the soup tasted distinctly like a Chinese broth! All-in-all I would say the dish was your regular Chinese wonton soup noodles...nothing Japanese about it.

The Agedashi Tofu seems to madefrom a hard rather than silken tofu and deep fried in a hard batter. It was served with what appears to be unagi sauce (sweet soya sauce) drizzled on top. Not what I had experienced before.

Anywhere else, the Agedashi tofu I've had has always been soft silken tofu fried in soft batter of potato/corn starch and served with a tentsuyu broth.

The noodles was tasty and the tofu was ok, neither was what I was expecting.

If you are looking for authentic Japanese Ramen and Gyoza in Leederville you may want to try elsewhere.

A trendily decorated and small restaurant, looking much more upmarket than any restaurants in the Mount Lawley/Inglewood areas.

The menu was a bit pricey and had more non-seafood dishes than expected. We had the Seafood Plate for 1 and Tasmania Salmon.

Food were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Staff were friendly, attentive, helpful and there was nothing they couldn't accommodate.

There was not a lot of variety on their menu, so it would be a restaurant we would only visit occasionally.

Approximate cost: $30+

This review is for The Wang's Treasure House, Morley WA

The last yum cha place I tried in Morley was horrible...they've since closed down. It was so bad that my youngest cried when i took him there.

So he was not particularly impressed when i took him to Wang's. I wasn't sure either.

But was reassured once we walked in and the place was packed with Chinese people.

It must be the freshest dim sums we've ever had, it was hot rather than just warm. Dim sums were as tasty as one of my favourite, the Dragon Seafood Palace in Northbridge - my benchmark for dim sum.

The only dish that was disappointing was the squid tentacles - dry and a bit chewy without much flavour due to the lack of seasoning.

The place was hectic on a Saturday morning because it look like the word of mouth has gotten out on how good Wang's is in the Chinese community.

Consequently is was really chaotic and all the staff, family members, including grandma were running around getting food out and seating patrons. They will do well once they organise themselves.

Happy that we don't have to head into Northbridge for Yum Cha now.

Spotted at Galleria and wanted to try it out as I was getting bored with Sushi Master's sushi at Coventry Village.

Glad I did. Sushi on the train tasted fresh and probably one of the best sushi experience so far in Perth. A few different sushi too.

Staff were friendly and attentive.

Was searching for a chicken coop for ages and was contemplating shipping one from the Eastern states due to what pet stores were charging in WA.

Look like it was small family business and run by a Chinese couple, they were really helpful and chatty.

Also picked up a feeder and drinker for $10 each...about 1/3 of the going price.

This review is for Phu Vinh Noodle House, Malaga WA

verified email - 30 Mar 2013

Being Good Friday today, there wasn't much options for dinner tonight. Thought we were lucky to find Phu Vinh open for business and booked a table for 4. That was all the positives about this dinning experience.

The place was at about 80% capacity but it was small - may be seating for 50-60. After seating ourselves, we were suitably ignored until we gestured for menus.

They then took our orders promptly and drinks started arriving shortly one by one. This is where it started to go bad. The drinks stopped coming after the third one and food started coming. We asked about the last drink at least three time with three separate staff who either agreed or repeated to us that one more drink was to come.

Then the final dishes arrived, but one of them was wrong. It was sent back. Again three separate wait staff came and told us what it was that got sent back - Duck Noodles, and I had to say it three times that it was not what we ordered, we ordered Egg Noodle Wonton.

When the Egg Noodle Wonton finally arrives, most of us were finishing our meal. No sign of the last drink either, but by then we didn't care anymore.

The food was ok. It was fresh and fast but its a high turn over noodle place, you kinda expect that. The serving was small compared to other Vietnamese places. There was only three Wonton in the Egg noodle Wonton!

Service was their biggest let down, food and drinks were just plonk on the table, no announcement of what they were. We had to work it out amongst ourselves.

It look like it was a family owned business but that shouldn't be an excuse for poor service or poorly trained staff.

Approximate cost: $10-12

This review is for Northbridge Chinese Restaurant, Northbridge WA

Revisited the Northbridge Restaurant for Yum Cha brunch after reading the positive reviews on WOMO. Last there maybe 3-4yrs ago.

It was average then and it was average on Sunday. Food were fresh and generally tasty but the quality was not there.

Service was good but we were there between 11am and 12pm, before the main lunch rush on Sunday. However, like many of the Yum Cha places, staff just need some basic training - move the Dim Sum trolleys around the dinning room rather than just up and down one side. Quiet a number of tables on our side had to call out to the trolley operators. Don't keep offering savoury Dim Sums when people are eating dessert - it gets annoying to keep saying no and remain pleasant after the 10th time.

In Short, much better than the New Moon but the bench mark for me is still the Dragon Seafood Chinese Restaurant on James St.
