I attended a workshop held by Property for Women at the beginning of the year. The speakers were great and inspirational. I loved the interaction that was available between all the attendees.

In the middle of the workshop we were told that we could join something called "Diamond Membership" which would allow us to receive monthly education discs and information regarding property to help us on our way. Now I've read many times, always leave your cards and money at home. Don't fall for any thing. Yet I had the naivety to think that Property for Women were different.

Hence I signed up - first month was free - again I should have questioned this as I held my bottle of complimentary champagne and walked out of the workshop.

There were really no problems initially. Within the month I received a folder and a disc to get me started. I never received any other promised monthly discs after this. The online content was indeed released monthly.

Then the real problems came when I decided that I couldn't afford to keep paying the monthly fees for the little information provided. I emailed them and advised that I wish to cancel my membership. Now a small note: we were told we could cancel at any time and we would be deducted the next month's fee. That was fine... Until the month after another deduction occurred of $55. I emailed again, and again apologies. The refund took the whole month to be applied. Then within the week another deduction. Now by the fourth time this had happened and about 20 emails of cancel my account, give me my refund, where is my refund? Etc... I had enough.

After a heated yet quite tame email that I sent to them I received a reply that it was a "technical glitch" . A technical glitch for the last 4 months?? How convenient for them. And I still have not received my refund.

Hence I want everyone to know exactly how these people have operated. Sure go to the seminars/workshops but leave your cards and phone etc at home. Don't go through the hassle that I have. These people will blame a technical glitch that seems to keep eating your money not them.

Be warned!!

I've been to this medical centre a few times for general checkups and pathology.
Mohammed in the pathology is really good, I didn't even feel any pain after doing my blood test.

I would also highly recommend Dr Abouyanni or Dr Smythe, who are both very thorough and highly knowledgeable. However, it's an incredibly slow wait for them. If you are in a rush, Dr Jhingran is satisfactory.

We were looking for a gay-friendly medical practice and happened to stumble across Holdsworth House. Though it is a bit far from us we have found that Dr Engelander is a great doctor. She is very professional, caring and thorough.

The staff are wonderful, the appointment times are kept on time and of course they are very gay friendly too!

We have also visited the dentist in the Holdsworth Practice, which we found of high standards - all procedures done cleanly, efficiently and carefully.

Wonderful place to go.

Cornersmith is one of my favourite cafes, I have been here so many times I've lost count!

The cute little cafe is homey and relaxing. You can really feel the love the owners have for the place.

We generally go here for a brunch and get one of the sandwiches or rolls. Delicious, fresh, flavoursome and healthy. All of their food is sourced locally or grown and their pickles are made by them. I highly recommend the brown rice pudding with pear but to be honest all of their food is yum! The menu continuously changes according to the season so you would never be bored. Everything I've tried received a tick of approval.

The coffee is Mecca, perfectly made each time, perfect hit and smooth at the same time. I've also tried their single origin espressos as well, which I was very impressed with - it came with a spoon to mix and sparkling water to cleanse the palate.

Overall, if you're around the area you must definitely come here. Try their muffins or coffee if you want to sit in then you must definitely try their fresh food.

Oh my goodness! The chips here are divine, crunchy, light and delicious. The chips here are always fresh and very decent price - if you are a student you also get a discount.

And the chicken is amazing! My favourite is the split chicken with garlic and lemon chicken if you want to take home and eat. Or if you rather eat on the go - get the chicken wrap with Tabouli and garlic and lemon sauce.

The staff are always polite and friendly even though they are busy.

For our new apartment we ordered some blinds for our living room and bedroom. As I have never installed blinds before, I was quite anxious installing them myself, however, budget was sticking its head around the corner. We ordered some samples and were happy with the quality and colours. So we placed our order.

So, after calling them about 3-4 times with various questions, I am confident to say they are professional, efficient and very informative as well as willing to help. When I was measuring, I wasn't sure which part of the window to measure so I took some photos and they were happy to help. When our blinds arrived, I wasn't sure what screws to use so they suggested which types to get. When our blinds didn't fit we were devastated! But they were empathetic and immediately told us how to fix it!

Amazing service and great value. Would definitely recommend you to them!

Having heard many great reviews on this place from online, we decided to go to dinner at this restaurant for our anniversary.

We made a booking for two at 7pm on a weekday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a pleasant staff member and taken to our seats.

Then we were introduced to our waiter for the rest of the night. We found our waiter lacked service and was rude. He half flung our menu on the table and did not try to make small talk with us. After he gave us the menu he left and we sat and waited for around 30 minutes.

Finally, I decided to raise my hand, where we were told abruptly by another waiter that "he will be with you shortly". When our waiter came back, he did not apologise for the wait but simply stared at us to get us to place our order.

The venue and atmosphere was pleasant. We had live music playing - quite loud where we sat , so I suggest not sitting too close to the performing area. The food was good but not fantastic for the price we were paying - approximately $60 for the main per head.

When we finished our meals, our waiter came to clear our table. He didn't ask us how our meal was nor start a conversation. So I decided to ask him for the dessert menu when I was told by our waiter - "you don't have to ask, that's a standard" in a scolding tone.

We decided to complain to the manager and we were given a bar of chocolate and a complimentary entre for our next visit.

The manager was good and promptly replied to my complaint via email within the next two days. However, I was told that it was our fault for "rushing the service" and that we wanted to "get out in a hurry" so our waiter was trying to "accommodate" for us.

Overall, we were very disappointed in the quality of service that we received for the price that we were paying.

This review is for Macchina Espresso, Kingsgrove NSW

I visited Macchina Espresso as part of my friend's recommendation for coffee - as I am a big coffee fan.
The store itself looked quite inviting as we walked in, however we were seated at the back in between stairs, coffee bean bags and a storage fridge that had an old watermelon slice. We were served quickly by the waitress and ordered two cappuccinos, a breakfast roll and a hangover breakfast.

Unfortunately, the table itself stank! Luckily, a couple left so we took their table instead which is on the side of the cafe - much nicer!

The food was nice - a little bit heavy and oily but fresh otherwise. The coffee was nice and smooth - pleasant but didn't blow my socks off.

Overall, I had a mediocre experience. If I were to pass by again I could just get a coffee to go.

This review is for Mortgage Choice, Surry Hills NSW

My partner and I recently purchased our first property and we happened to come across Mark at Mortgage Choice, Surry Hills.
Our first appointment, we had lots of questions about property, how it works, how much we could afford, the different types of loans etc etc! We were full of questions and Mark was very patient and full of information.

On our second meeting, Mark went through 4-5 of the loans that he finds matched our purposes and had the best value for us. He explained all the fees, the extra requirements about the loan and again patiently went through all the questions we had. As we were also looking forward to purchasing another property, he went the extra mile to show us what we could do with the next property, how much we could afford etc.

There was no point in which I felt pressured to choose a certain loan over another. At the end, I felt like we made the most informed choice for our mortgage.

Finally, the selling agent for the property wanted to settle really quickly and Mark was on the case. He called our conveyancer to get the paper work, contacted the selling agent to prepare everything for us. It could have ended with a nightmare but Mark took us through the whole process seamlessly.

Amazing service and we are definitely going back to use Mortgage Choice and particularly Mark again.

This review is for 1800 Computers, Gladesville NSW

My computer had suddenly died last week and I did a request online for a quote, however, they didn't get back to me so I called them the next day. Serkan was very friendly and apologised and said they would be able to give me a free quote.
Serkan was excellent and very thorough while checking what was wrong (he double checked and triple checked) before he came to the conclusion that the power supply was busted. He gave me a quote on the price and the cost of the service, which I found very reasonable and got my computer back on track within 10 minutes.
Impressed with the service and that Serkan got straight to fixing the computer. Very happy customer and would definitely return!
