We were surprised to find a Japanese restaurant in Leura but this was a pleasant discovery. If you plan to go it's advisable to book, even mid-week.

On the whole food was quite good. The nabeyake udon was excellent, a good sized serve with excellent stock and reasonably close to authentic, if you excuse the less than optimal vegetables. The sashimi was pretty good too, especially considering the location, not exactly near a fish market.

Fish cakes were a bit of disappointment, and the 'crab' in the California rolls was just seafood extender. The grilled salmon was also a let-down, despite being told it would be pink in the middle it came out slightly over-cooked, although not dry.

Ambience varies depending whether you are facing into the restaurant, or looking at the microwaves and service area. However, this can be overlooked considering it is not promoted as anything other than a humble Japanese eatery. As such Hana does quite well and is a welcome respite from the many exorbitantly priced restaurants in the upper Blue Mountains.

There is quite a good range of food which is also quite nice and is worth their price. I enjoyed eating at this place and would definitely come back here to eat.

Went to eat here with my friend. Lovely place, nicely decorated and the booths are pretty cool. My friend ordered the tofu Udon and that was really delcious. The tofu was very sweet and overall it was decent value for food. Food took a while to come to our table but it was a busy night and we were very hungry so that was understandable. Will be coming back!

The best sushi train I know. Great food, it even has a range of desserts. Good friendly staff. You always know that if the dish you wanted isn't on the train you can ask for them to make one for you. Not all raw fish, there is a range of cooked items.

This is one of the best sushi trains I've been to, the prices are reasonable, and much of the food is on the cheaper plates, there is a good variety, and the quality is really great.

Emon, my second favourite japanese restaurant next to Busshari, must try udon noodles, okonomiyaki, sashimi not bad either, great range of sake also. Though quite hidden, you get the regulars. A must try place.

I had salmon sushi, it was not fresh very disappointing and very annoying when someone does not understand English, I asked the lady behind the counter a question about a dish and she didn't understand me and had to ask her colleague.
Also had teppanyaki which was nice.

The food wasn't too great, I've been to cheaper Japanese restaurants with better food and costing less. The only reason why I would come here is because of the proximity to my office. Don't come here for the food or the service. Bit difficult to make the staff understand what I needed as their english was poor.

Great food. Not as much variety as your standard Korean fare. Would definitely recommend bbq-ed marinated beef on bone and the spicy tofu soup. Sitting outside is an option if you don't want to smell like a walking BBQ. BBQ squid is very very spicy, only for the truly seasoned chilli eater!

This cafe's food is generally quite nice but there are many other cafes which I would prefer to go to. The price of the food here is reasonably inexpensive and the service is probably what you would expect of it.
